Walter is pleased to have now associated himself with Quackenbush Thomson after having practised in other small firms for over forty years. He is a Queen's Counsel. In addition to carrying on the general practise of law, he serves as a Small Claims Court Adjudicator and as a member of the Nova Scotia Securities Commission. He is often appointed to adjudicate complaints under the Human Rights Act and chairs private arbitrations. He has served Cystic Fibrosis Canada, the Nova Scotia Safety Council, the Metropolitan Dispensary, the Canadian Civil Liberties Association and the board of CUA (formerly Credit Union Atlantic).
